Carved Buffalo Skull

Horn to horn: between 25cm and 35 cm (9 3/4 to 13 3/4 inches)

Horn to nose: between 55 and 65 cm (21 1/2 to 25 1/2 inches)

This carved and gilded buffalo skull draws both on long-established balinese folk art and the european tradition of gilding. These skulls are hand-carved with traditional south-east-asian patterns and gilded by hand in Switzerland using 24k gold leaf.

A thin rope made of natural fibers on the reverse allows the skulls to be hung on a wall.
